About me
Tarey Franxman has served as the Human Resources Director for the City of Fort Walton Beach since 2013. In this capacity, he oversees a wide range of personnel programs, including health benefits, risk management, wellness initiatives, employee policies, training, recruitment, selection, labor relations, negotiations, affirmative action, EEO records, promotional testing, and other related programs. He collaborates closely with the city council, city manager, and staff to ensure the seamless coordination of departmental programs and activities across the city. Mr. Franxman holds a bachelor's degree from the University of South Florida and a master’s degree in organizational & industrial psychology from the University of West Florida. Additionally, he is a SHRM Certified Professional, an Honorary Commander at Hurlburt Airforce Base, has served on the PRM Group Health Trust Executive Board and completed the Certified Public Manager Program (CPM) through Florida State University.
